Between Worlds

We are between worlds: waiting, anticipating, longing. Yet nature awards us with a blue moon – two full moons in the same calendar month.

“…here I opened wide the door;—
            Darkness there and nothing more.”
from The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe.

So, dear friends, stay with your text and let the ideas grow – in light and in the dark. Keep the candles burning, cherish the light around you and hold hope bright.

Kildare Children’s Book Festival – Workshops

I’m delighted to be taking part in Kildare Libraries Children’s Book Festival this October.

I will be facilitating two linked creative writing workshops on 29th and 30th October 2020 aimed at writers who are between 14 and 16 years of age. Join me for some fun creativity!

Click here to book into my workshops and see here for more information on the festival which offers a wonderful variety of workshops for all ages – and which are free of charge thanks to Maynooth Library & Kildare Library Service.

The Light still gets through

Sometimes to find the light we just need to pause and look outwards.

Sometimes it is the underneath or the other side where the brightness sits.

Sometimes it is the detail of beauty in the weeds shining in the mist.
