KRF 2024: Launch of “Fire: Brigid and The Sacred Feminine”

We are delighted that Lucina Russell will launch Fire: Brigid and The Sacred Feminine” at Naas Library and Cultural Centre.

I am still so moved by the poetry, prose and visual art that we selected and thrilled with the resulting book that myself and co-editor Niamh Boyce have spent the last year planning/working on.

Come along to hear wonderful writing on the themes of Brigid, the sacred feminine and the heritage of Kildare – with Kildare Readers Festival, gratefully funded by Brigid 1500 and Kildare County Council.

Holy Cows: The Red Book of Kildare – Astonishing response to call out

The Holy Cows Panel is truly grateful and overwhelmed with such a wealth of work from all across the world. The call out received an astonishing response with hundreds of individuals submitting beautiful writing, poetry, and visual art exploring themes of the Sacred Feminine, Brigid, and the Heritage of Kildare.

The submissions window is now closed! We will spend the next few weeks continuing to read and examine your work with the care it deserves. Expect to hear back from the panel by March 15th.
